“So,” Alexis says to the girl. “What are you doing in this part of town?” This was a single magic store surronded by rural reality and mortals, Alexis had assumed she’d be the only one here. That and why she wanted the same book made her curious about this girl.

“Um, I mean-” Alexis looks at the older man shuffling around in the back, looking for this book. Book. Alexis came here for a book. “Sir, I need this book…”
She turns to the girl and says, “What, um, what book are you looking for?”

“I’m looking for volume 4 of advanced dark magic : summonings…what book are you looking for?” Abbie stated, upon being asked what book she was looking for.She glanced from the clerk to Alexis.

Alexis’ eyes darted from the girl to the row of books. This girl was taking the exact book she had come to get, and she didn’t think they’d have any extras just lying around. “Oh, nothing,” she mumbled.

“Excuse me, sir?” Alexis said quickly. “I need to talk to you in private just a second. Please.” The old man sighed and leaned over the counter. “I need that book. Please, sir, I need it…” He grunted and walked away. Alexis lightly smiled at the girl.

The bustling streets filled with people overflowed with noise and action. Alexis had never been so terrified of a place. She was used to quiet and peace and concentration. She stuffed her hands into her jacket pockets and mumbled to herself angrily, wishing she had never come to this damned city.
But she had found the store she had been looking for thereafter, a tall, old building rotting in the corner of the degrading city. She walked in, a bell ringing as the door creaked open. There she spotted an older man at the counter, and she hurried to him.
“Sir, I am here to pick up something incredibly important and I-” but the man interrupted saying, “I’m with a costumer please hold on a second, ma’am.” Alexis looked over to the tall girl, mysterious girl. Alexis felt like she knew her, but she in fact I could not recall meeting her.
“Um… excuse me…” Alexis whispered, no longer to the old man but to the mysterious girl.
